about the acorn award

In 1909 the Earl of Albemarle was asked by Robert Baden Powell to set up a county structure and start Scouting in Norfolk.

It is his legacy that we are still celebrating today. A legacy that delivers exciting, adventurous programmes to young people and introducing new skills and knowledge essential to be successful in 2009.
