Outdoor & Adventure Programme 1

What did you do?: on the 17th April we went to wolferton for the weekend wirh 1st dereham on a backwoods camp we cooked in patrols skined rabbits and a deer. made shelters,pioneering in the woods.

What did you get out of it?: Working together, team work, learning new skills,

Outdoor & Adventure Programme 2

What did you do?: We went sailing and powerboating on our group camp to wells, we stayed at Wells scout HQ for the weekend and on the saturday we walked to Oceonus sailing school where we were kited out with wetsuits and bouyancy aids. We then got towed out to the lifeboat house where we started our sailing, after lunch half of our group then went powerboating round to blakeney point and back. While the rest of us played sailing games with lots of capsizing going on, the group swapped over so everybody had a turn. very tired we were towed back to the quay where we helped put the boats back in the yard at Oceaonus.
Who did you involve?: Cub scouts, Scouts Youngleaders/Explorerscouts
What did you get out of it?: One of the best days ive had in scouting the smiles on the faces of the scouts were ear to ear unforgetable day.

Community Programme 1

What did you do?: We where invited by our local farm estate to come and vist the farm where we were taken around the farm on the back of a enclosed trailer sitting on bales of straw benches, we looked at types of cereals barley and wheat, wild grasses looked at irrigation, and were taken up an ancient settlement hill which is not open to the public, then we went and looked at the farm livestock.

What did you get out of it?: Create good future working relationship with local farm estate.

Community Programme 2

What did you do?: we took part in the big tidy up on our meeting night we went round our village picking up all the litter.

What did you get out of it?: On our walk round we met a member of the public who gave us a small donation for our group as we had made such a good job.
Community 2 Completed: completed

Fit for Life Programme 1

What did you do?: in July we cycled 25 miles, we left Briston/melton Constable at 2pm for Sheringham on the scenic route on country lanes and bridalways. We arrived at Sheringham around 5pm at the scout hut. We had a relax then went into town and sat on the beach to eat our takaway it was a gorgeous evening. Stayed the night in Sheringham Hq we came home a different route through Sheringham park, stopped at kelling heath caravan park for an ice-cream and a puncture which we fixed. arrived back home at about 1 ish.

What did you get out of it?: Team spirit

Fit for Life Programme 2

What did you do?: A night hike run by our district Explorer scouts about nine miles with activity bases along the way, map reading,we came last but our map reading skills have rearly inproved.

What did you get out of it?: Watching the scouts work together as a team and looking after each other.

Creative Expression Programme 1

What did you do?: We planed and cooked a three course meal for the leaders, young leaders, scouts. The scouts arrived early to start the meal, each had their own job to do with the watchfull eye of Garry our masterchef.
Tables were set we all sat together and the scouts served and waited on the leaders.
Who did you involve?: Scouts Young leaders, Garry celebrity chef.

What did you get out of it?: It was lovely to all sit together and eat a meal that the scouts had prepared. plus they did the washing up.

Creative Expression Programme 2

What did you do?: Fathers day cards and gift we made blackboards/message boards. Brian cut ply wood into squares the cubs and scouts painted the boards with black board paint when dry we sifted though magazines cutting out pictures which we made a colage and glued around the blackboards we tied chalk and attached to the boards with a length of wool.
Who did you involve?: Beavers,Cubs,Scouts,Youngleaders.
What did you get out of it?: Fun, covered in black paint for weeks, lots of mess and a fathers day present for my dad.

Beliefs & Attitudes Programme 1

What did you do?: We attented the village rememberance day service. Members of the Scout group carried the flag at the head of the procession.
Who did you involve?: Beavers,Cubs,scouts,Explorers, YLS
What did you get out of it?: My first one as scout leader, reflection, respect,pleased that nearly all of our group attended. A very good turnout.

Beliefs & Attitudes Programme 2

What did you do?: We attended the Briston parish christingle
service. We performed a song that we have been practicing during scout meetings. Four cubs read a poem and one scout did a reading.

What did you get out of it?: Team work, good will and peace to all men.
Beliefs & Attitudes 2 Completed: completed

Global Programme 1

What did you do?: We planted trees to ofsett the Scout groups carbon footprint.
The 50 trees and flower bulbs were planted at the local primary schools community garden.This was done during a Saturday morning work party.
Who did you involve?: Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and some parent helpers.
What did you get out of it?: Teamwork, and a sense of achievement in knowing that we were helping the planet.
Global 1 Complete: completed

Global Programme 2

What did you do?: We had an Astronomy evening, the scouts brought their own binoulars/telescope on a very cold evening we talked about light polution and looked into the sky for plannets and stars which in November is very limted.Even so we had a little success.

What did you get out of it?: Now when we are out at night and i'm asked to name some constilations I have a better knolledge.
